After the success of a previous project, We was contacted again by this client to renew the flooring in this rental property based in Bokarina, Sunshine Coast. The previous tenants had moved out and the existing carpets in place were in a sorry state. We removed the existing Carpet to unveil what remained of some old foam back carpet leaving a yellow foam residue all over the subfloor, we brought in the big guns and ground the concrete slab utilising our 500mm planetary concrete grinder. When hooked up to our dual motor Husqvarna H class vacuum cleaner, this soon made short work of the foam remnants in a safe a dustless way.
The Client specified that they wanted a darker style oak flooring for this project, We advised on our 3mm Vinyl Planks, utilising a fibre re enforced core, a 0.5mm wear layer and backed by a 25 year guarantee, this product would be more than up to the job in hand. After applying a Skim Coat to correct any minor deviations in the subfloor that remained after our grinder had done its job, we installed the vinyl planking and both us and the client was incredibly happy with the finished product.
